Biggest week of horse racing bar Cheltenham (i think)
I am interested to know how ye traders approach such a week. Same as any other or do different?
Personally due to much more money around i find it clogs up the market and gets a bit frustrating as the markets are slower (like Treacle) as Peter says, so i dont seem to do as well. Ill be pushing more on Betdaq for sure this year

First Royal Ascot trading for me. I usually go to the first two days, then just watch the rest of the week on the telly and have some bets. First time I've not been since 1996 apart from 2005 when it was at York.

Never been a huge fan of trading the festival meetings if I'm honest, always preferred the day to day stuff. Usually get frustrated trading them, give up, and just watch on the telly, enjoy the high class racing and have a punt!

Going to give it a go this year though, really looking forward to trading it, no idea what to expect, just see how it goes.

Yeah same here, i plan to watch how it trades on Tuesday to get a feel for it. I guess for the big time traders its an opportunity to get a lot more money matched

Tuesday has a look of very good racing so typically it's the busiest day of the week, Saturday is often the quietest.

Fill rate on Betfair is really poor at the moment. Early days.

The £150,000 bet on Gleneagles that was largely feed into BF messed that market up somewhat.

I always find it harder to trade the bigger priced favorites seen in some of these races :?
