Was an ok day, up and down. I dont know if today was a typical Ascot day but it was interesting to see tne markets. Fill rate on BF on the slow side. Feature race was best result for me

I made about the same on both exchanges, but the Betdaq total is obviously worth a lot more to me than Betfair. I could have quite happily traded just on Betdaq and may have got more if I had done so.

SP would be nice so I could trade further past post.

Just updated figures from yesterday.

£15.4m over 6 races at post time an average of £2.5m. +35% on last year but flattered by Gleneagles at 1.62 turning over £4.1m. First race of the day was unusually high. No particular explanation for that.

Volatility almost exactly as expected.

+1

I would also really like to be able to see bets by matched date (I can't see this at the moment, I could have the wrong settings). For example if you have a £10 bet matched in 10 x £1 bets I would like to be able to see this as opposed to it just showing as £10.

Yeah I agree Andy, but sadly BF turned that facility off with the new API

I usually trade 10-20 markets simultaneously, so watching increments on the matched bets total in Guardian was very useful

I was referring to Betdaq mate. I don't use BF at all so didn't know this was no longer available on BF. I would not have been happy with that change on BF as knowing the incremental matched bets was very much needed when I traded FT.

Found the first was a little slow to get going but the 5 minutes before the off the fill rate really picked up on Betdaq.

Best result of the meeting so far for me.

Backing horses under 5 in the morning are showing a positive return by SP, can we assume that the trend will continue?

First race looks like a 2 horse market, might be interesting

Two runner races can be tricky as one of them will almost certainly move, but this far out you don't know which one.
