I really enjoyed that last race, it was everything the Gold Cup wasn't

Cant believe that horse drifted so much. Thought the money would have come for it given what happened earlier

Turnover at Royal Ascot this year on Betfair is already £50.5m vs £35.8m last year.

It's also the most volatile year I have traded.

That's a great write up on the blog.

The Gold Cup yesterday was the craziest market i have ever seen. My screens were flashing huge reds, then nice greens, then back to red, then green, then red etc etc. In the last 5 minutes that race went from being my best of the week, to the worst of the week, to an ok result, to a complete disaster,to about level!

In the end i managed to get out with a small profit on Betdaq and small loss on Betfair, though was just relieved to get out about even overall.

Was certainly fun yesterday, though looking forward to the last couple of days, just hope they arent so dramatic!

If Moore is going to ride all Ballydoyles main contenders it could be like the Vincent O'Brien - Lester Piggott of the modern era

Thanks, the race was just crazy. Never seen anything like it, especially on a Group 1

Finding it a struggle today. Just can't seem to get into a flow with it.

That Group 1 was also like a seller. Wild fast mvoes.

Lucida and Ervedya were all over the shop

More crazy moves in the last. 2nd fav 4.6 out to 6 and then back in in no time at all.

Some odd moves today given that you would have thought the markets would have been strong at Ascot.

Overall a disappointing day for me. Worse day of the week.

Y, was a tougher day today. But I didn't think that most races where that wild in comparison to yesterday. Though I almost got caught by that fast move, I'll post the chart up.

It looks silly that it shot out so fast so despite having a loss I waited for a it to revert to a more sensible price. You could see it was going to bounce of six. It was such a stupid move, made no sense in the context of the market.

I actually did better on Betdaq today than Betfair. The fill rates were much higher there than on Betfair so it was easier to skip in and out of positions. Couldn't do that with any great money on Betfair.
