Hi,
I'm contemplating investing in a new PC for trading as I'm using a pretty bog standard dell at the moment.
I'm tempted by Eddie Z from EZtradingcomputers, apparently high end trading PC's for a reasonable price. Only downside is its an american company so not sure how much would be saved when factoring in shipping costs etc...
Any of you guys using specialised trading computers?
I don't want to buy another bog standard Dell to be honest but also dont want to spend a fortune if I don't have to.
Suggestions appreciated
Ron

I've got a Dell XPS with an i7 processor and 8gb of ram I'm looking to replace it soon for something with a SSD.
If i replaced it with Dell a similar machine would cost €1200. A top of the line trading machine with the company I mentioned above would cost $1400. not much in the difference. And that has multi monitor support, and a 5 yr warranty.
Dell only offer a 1 yr warranty as standard.
Tempting

HP for £380 that is a good deal!
Thanks for your answers guys, I'm probably just getting carried away with the whole mission control, wall full of monitors idea!

I hear SSD's make a huge difference to boot up time and generally means the PC runs faster so definitely the way forward.
Oh yeah, SSD alone makes all the difference in the world, you can save so much time (and frustration) in the long run. You can see for yourself here in this video, a direct speed comparison HDD vs SSD. My disk is too slow even for HDD standards so it's gonna be a massive upgrade.
