Hi
I've set-up a automation rule to place a back bet, and then a lay bet with 1 tick offset. That works fine. But to limit my losses, I want to set the Lay bet offset with stop loss. I looked and found the following;
'Offset bet and stop'
I see 'Offset trrigger (ticks), which I assume is the point at which the lay will be made. But was does 'Place at ticks' mean ?
Back Bet with Lay Offset plus stop loss
Hi
The trigger is the point which the stop will be armed and the place where it is actually placed, for example
if you have stop trigger set at 2 and place at 5 now lets say you backed at 3.50 if the price gets to 3.60 the stop will trigger and be placed at 3.75 but if still possible will be matched at 3.60 if not then 3.65 and so on.
In most cases in pre race horse markets you can set the trigger and place at the same value or maybe one extra for the place where as in play when the price is jumping around all over the place the price would most probebly go straight through your trigger point so if the stop is placed at the same it would sit there unmatched unless the price came back down.
Not sure if i explained that very clear if not or your still unsure let me know and ill try again.
Regards
Andy
