So about a few months ago i got a bit fed up of gambling, came across trading. Watched nearly all the videos on betangel's youtube channel, ended up watching 25+minute videos of people just trading on horses. I was fascinated, it looked so easy. I though a couple of £ per race would be doable, i got the trial and started keeping records. First day only had one red on the first race, -£2, overall p/l was +£33 on about 20 races with £25 stakes. I just wanted to be consistent, carried on doing this and finally i think it's time to start real trading. I have £1000 bankroll that i can risk losing, main aim is to stay consistent and make steady profits day in and out. Yesterday i was looking at trading during HT in football matches in practice mode on 0-0 games, seeing if the market went a few ticks down on over 1,5. Then betfair went down, this is when i thought to my self what happens when betfair goes down and you have a position opened? especially when trading horses within just minutes before the off?

Thanks in advance.

If betfair goes down all open positions/matched bets stand and are just settled as normal after the event or as soon as betfair is up and running, any money queued or not yet matched is just cancelled.

There is nothing you can do on betfair best advice is to have some money in betdaq to and always be logged in that way if betfair does go down you can place your opposing bet there - may lose a few quid but rather that than your entire stake.
