Sad news - made me a good few quid over the years. Sad to see him pass.

It is very sad news. I had the pleasure of meeting owner Clive Smith at Cheltenham and he was such a gentleman. He was still enthusing about Kauto Star despite him no longer racing and competing in eventing.
A horse of a generation, it will take a special horse to surpass his record.
