I like to back a few outsiders to small stakes (£1 @ 1000/1) but no matter how I set the stake it always defaults to the £2 minimum. Newbie apologies if answer is obvious

This is something i have noticed in the past when trialing new ideas, from what i can gather and remember for some reason bets placed at or matched at 1000/1 are automatically placed at £2 regardless if you set the amount lower - i come across this when trying to lock my profits on drifitng horses whos odds had reached 1000/1 before my bet appeared in the market.
