Wow thanks Jay, that's just what I needed. Not sure how I missed that one tbh, probably because it wasn't written in English. I really appreciate you linking this blog with your first post after 6 years of lurking on this forumjay6 wrote:Hi Kai
Google, valoresperado.blogspot.co.uk , you will have to translate it. Its written by a Portuguese football trader. If you go back through old posts read the comments aswell lots of good info there. Good luck.

I could not have said it better myself Peter, but not only are there snake oil salesmen at every corner, there's also some creative downright scammers that "teach" newbies how to trade but they do not even trade themselves and have never traded successfully either. "Those who can, do; those who can't, teach" applies perfectly in this case. When I was starting out I joined a few footy trading communities and had to filter out tons and tons of useless info to get to the few bits of genuine information, it's pretty brutal for any newcomers to football trading. There's barely any genuine information out there for beginners, let alone anything useful for serious traders. Bottom line, you can only trust your own self and in your own work.Euler wrote:Kai, I think there is a bit of an illusion generally. At lot of the info out there takes a distinctly snake oil salesy type angle. 'Rehash something and tell people that's what a I do'.
That was my impression as well so thank you for confirming it. Sounds a bit lonesome, but I guess that is the way of the footy traderEuler wrote:There are actually a lot in the Bet Angel community, but due to the amount of grief real traders get they tend to keep their heads down and get on with things
