Guardian In Play Issue....Please Advise.

Hi All,

I'm a newbie trader and looking to see if there is an answer to an issues I'm having.

I am currently testing laying the fav in running using Guardian,

Each morning I load my programme into Guardian for that days horse racing, leave my computer on and logged in with Guardian running then go out for the day.

I've had the sleep mode disabled on my computer so the computer screen is on all day.

My issue is this, the twice when I have come back to see how I've gone on after some races in the day no bets have been placed, but when I manually sit at my computer and change to each race just under half the bets are matched and placed.

Is it just a fluke none of my bets have been matched and bet on (20 races yesterday) when I am out or is there a way to ensure the bets are placed when my betting criteria is matched in any particular race when I am out or not at my computer.

Does anyone also know how I can up my matched bets rate up from just below 50% taking into consideration the 2 second delay also not wanting to change any of the parameters of my programme.

The other thing I'm interested to know does anyone have any information on Tagadab with there internet access so your computer is still working when its turned off and would it work with this programme.

Some this depends on how many races you have and how you are switching to them. If you use using Guardian you can get it autoswitch to races rather than cycle that should help.

I've now activated your suggestion, in your opinion will it improve my bet place rate when all my criteria are met in race

If a race is late off or there are two races at the same time will that cause any problem with my programme or will Guardian be able to run with two races at the same time and place bets when my criteria is met on each bet.

I don't know is the honest answer as I don't know exactly what you are doing. I would test everything in practice mode first to be sure.

The only reason I suggest market switching is because that's what I use on horse racing.

But obviously you don't really want it switching before it's completed it's automation, but that's something you will have to build into the rules.

I notice you mention when you sit down and "manualy switch" markets it works fine.

When you have guardian running the show have you ticked the checkbox at the top which allows guardian to switch to the markets automatically?

Could be worth a shout as if you dont it wont switch to the next market ready for betting again.

Worth checking the advance settings in guardian too..have you got the restrict refresh ticked?

I've been into my advance settings which are currently set to 900 until after start time, I only want this to run for a max 8 mins. after start time. So if I change this to 420 should this do it.?

That poses a further question I take it if the race is run and suspended within 1 min 10 secs I take it the Automation will automatically stop and move on?

If I also change the refrest before start time from 1200 to 60 (one minute) will that give the race before more time to run with more opportunites to place and match a bet?
