excel error 80040154

hi i am trying to connect spreadsheet to ba im getting the 80040154 error.ive had a look on here and googled it says something about needing the FULL version of excell,dose anyone have a link for the required version of excel please

Sounds like you may be running the Starter edition of Excel which doesn't allow external connections. Bet Angel will work with all full versions of Excel from Office 2003 onwards. If you're using Office 2013 then you can check which exact version you're running by looking under the Product Information section of File->Account . If it's an older version then the version number is probably displayed on an 'About' box or under information displayed using File->Help
