Blue sky for punters

Punters who cannot get channel 78 on their televisions will be able to watch Victorian racing on Sky channel within the next week or two. Racing Victoria has had to substantially drop its expectations on what Sky will pay. The parties should sign a deal this week.

Hey guys does anyone know what the delay is with pay tv for sky racing?

I was getting 7 sec delay yesterday online. Far quicker than Iv experienced before, normally around 15-20sec.

I can probably help ya mate, but I don't understand the Q. Are you talking about the delay from live on-track to Foxtel?

To my knowledge the fastest pictures are provided through Sky.

Watching Sky through Foxtel adds about 1.5 seconds to the delay.

Anybody know why BF Aus suspend the market at end of race, as opposed to UK which keep it open for some time after? They seem to be closing the Vic markets as soon as the commentator has a tone in his voice like something's home. Closed one Friday before the field had reached the furlong!

I can't speak for the UK markets but the Victorian issue is just down to the delay with the channel 78 feed.

The races are also being turned in play noticeably early in comparison with the pictures.

At least that's what i'm seeing from Newcastle.

Canberra now TC free. Also, Ruby Walsh riding at Ballarat on Sunday should add some interest.

Morning
Question for the Aussie traders...

I have more than one betfair account, but I can only bet on the aussie markets with one account
I just wondered if it was the same for the aussie traders ie you could only bet on UK markets using one account>?

Its a bit of a pain really as I wanted to run another strategy on the Aus horses

Anyone been able to get around this?
Thanks
regards
Peter

You should be able to, Aus customers can bet pre-race and in-running in the UK.

Peter
Edit : This was the original email I got from betfair some time ago..(the question was specific to Aussie Markets not UK..

Dear Peter,

Thank you for your e-mail.

It is fine to use your 3 accounts on the exchange. But only one account can be used for any bets placed on the sports book or multiple bets. Please can confirm which account your would like to have on your sports book wallet on.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further enquiries.

Kind regards,

I see sky radio is now behind a pay wall and large elements are restricted for international users. Is there a decent speed radio service available for us poms?

We often don't have access to pictures so just looking for something to keep in touch with the races.
