Now the 2015 evening racing has ended just wondered how people have done on this as a whole through the summer and what people turn there attentions to?

For me is now the lullest part of the year for the next few weeks (with exception to the US open) untill the NH gets going, so at the moment just looking forward to a few shorter days :)

I'm also looking forward to getting some of my life back. Trading full pelt during the summer can be tiring. I'll post up my thoughts when I get some more time.

First summer I've done my automation live so it's all new for me! Be interesting to see how it develops over the next few months with different types of racing

First year of sports trading. Enjoyed it even though made a loss overall. Learning from my mistakes as i plod along. Wish i could devote more time to it. What do most of you guys concentrate on over the next few months ?

Couldn't agree more, it'll be nice to get back to 4 hour days :)

I might do a little football/specials etc outside my PC comm generating stuff but generally just stick to the racing. Financially I don't find a massive difference per month with the reduced racing. I find it easier to make money with racing coming thick and fast but my take per market drops drastically. When I can take the time to concentrate my take per market is higher but takes more effort.

Nice little thread this. When I started I just wanted to trade everything. Although will only be a year on 30 September. I think long term and starting in Jan 2017 I will only trade Thurs, Fri, Sat and high volume race days. Apart from that I really have no desire to sit there on Monday and make £50. Id rather study a hobby or spend it with my family. Its really wierd I had desires of make a fortune and now Im just happy to make a nice lump and be flexible most weeks. I love racing so staying in on a sat trading is actually good for me.

SH - my wife literally says the above to me on a daily basis. there certainly are days when tbh perfectly honest, i'd make far more working my day job. then, there are days when things just come up trumps (not the donald type -or maybe they are, you know, random ones!!). some folk say it's getting more difficult to read these markets. as a newcomer, i don't have the weight of the past to dwell on, so for me i see the landscape as being relatively open, but am aware that adaptation will be required to participate long term in this major/minor/allegro struggle. whether i have the heart for that is still to be seen, but for now, it's not too stressy. :D
