Not sure if it's linked, when he was laying the fav 2.50 Redcar a 50,000 back order appeared on betdaq, then a 25,000 one about the same price he was laying at. None of it was matched and didn't happen again. Wondered if he was trying to lose on betfair and win elsewhere

I couldn't detect any pattern other than he was just laying the favourite heavily and trying to get filled.

I agree, been around for years and is also the flasher. I would not be surprised if you see flashing start up again soon.

The only thing about the flashing that gets me is that it is so quick which to me indicates it is automated and that in turn indicates some level of sophistication which I don't think this person has as they have seemingly thrown money away for years now.

It would be fascinating to know what their idea is behind it all!

P.S. rather than start a new thread I would add it to one of the older threads about it.

I have been playing around with flashing stakes into sporting markets for 1-2secs.

Why? - it's because when I notice bots distorting a market, I flash money in and that makes them react. The cell they have emptied, I then fill with my order and simply cancel the previous one. It's a nice way of getting to the front of the queue ahead of the bots

Yes I understand that logic mate but the flashing guy on the horse racing markets does it with the intention of getting the money matched by flashing the money in and out of the market and moving it to ensure they are getting matched.

Did anyone else notice the pull-up job on the second in the Legends race? Looks as though he looked to see McCoy winning and then dropped his irons.

Has a UK race ever gone on time?

This is the UK you are talking about here!

Lingers currently 6mins late.

BTW, I'm also so impressed with the timings on Aussie racing, almost to the second 99% of the time.

There have been many a thread on here about racing going off late in the UK. Ireland is not much better.

I would say as someone who has been away from racing for a while, the jumps races are much better at getting off on time than they used to be. Though we should really be looking to Oz for as to why they can manage it and we can't.

I think the industry would be miles better of financially if they did go off on time as I think the levy take would be much higher.
