Hello

I need help on the below situation.

If I place a opening lay bet first for £10 at 3.50

Then back £10 at 15.00

This would create myself a free bet, but if I wanted to green up with the lay odds currently at 16.00 ..... What would my green up stake need to be at the odds of 16.00?

You would have a free bet of £115 before commission.

That divided by 16 is £7.19.

Thanks for your response guy333

After greening up with the lay stake you mentioned, what would be my profit across all horses?

Depends on your commission.

At 5% commission it would be £7.19 @ .95 = £6.83.

Thank you for your help.

So let me get this straight.

Lay £10 at 3.50
Back £10 at 15.00
Green up £7.19 at 16.00

With a overall profit across all runners of £6.83

I have a calculator to work out the free bet between 3.50 and 15.00, so I know how to divide that by the lay odds for my green up stake.

But how do you work out the calculation for the greened up profit across all runners?

I don't understand the question.

I have shown all the calculations above.

If you back at 10 then lay at 5.00 you will have made (10-5)*stake in profit

If you want to hedge your profit you would do profit/current lay price to hedge
