Window Minimises Automatically
When I have the ladder undocked it will periodically minimse automatically which is rather inconvenient when trading! Can anybody offer a solution. I am assuming this is a MS windows issue rather than BA problem. I am using windows 7. Any help greatly appreciated.
The first thing you have to check (which you probably have) is whether you have the "Automatically switch Bet Angel market" option in Guardian ticked or not - try having it unticked.
However I have done this myself and still have this issue or something very similar.
Are you sure the window is actually minimising?
Or, is it disappearing behind a different window - namely the main Betangel window?
What is happening in my case is the main Betangel window periodically seems to be given the focus and it will jump to the front of all other windows.
Therefore, if you are trading on the ladder with the main Betangel screen behind the ladder window then every now and then the main Betangel window jumps to the front and hides the ladder!
I now always make sure the main Betangel window is positioned well away from the undocked ladder so that when it does jump to the front it doesn't cover the ladder. This will depend on how much screen space you have - I have the 2 windows on 2 different screens.
The ladder still loses focus but if the mouse is already positioned over the ladder as soon as you move it the ladder automatically regains focus so I find this works fine.

I trade from a single screen. The only window open is the ladder interface which is undocked. So the scenario you describe above does not seem to apply in my case. The automatic minimisation of the window is usually preceded by a clicking sound and the cursor momentarily "circling". It feels as if the computer is refreshing or updating somehow and this causes the window to be minimised.Tanden wrote:Are you sure the window is actually minimising?

If you click on the desktop in Bet Angel which shows the Bet Angel menu screen and then either click on a post or I sometimes use the user guide and leave the page open that may cure it, I used to have the same problem and this seemed to stop it happening, don't ask me why though !
I assumed its when the page refreshes, probably a windows thing I would imagine. Hopefully that might cure it for you as it did for me.
