Showing your Green Posiition... horse racing

When you place your bet the profit (green) and loss (red) is shown under the runners name

But if you now want to put in an opposing bet (say a back after a lay) you dont know what your future postion will be eg by hovering your mouse over the required price.

I know you can geen up etc but how do you know what your liability will be prior to placing the bet?

Does that make sense?

Any replies gratefully received... thanks

Not 100% sure what you mean, I assume your using the one-click or manual bets screens?

You can use the trade calculator (the icon just to the right of the G+ with a X,1 & -) the bottom box allows you to input the odds required and tell you want amount you need to place and the manual close button will place this bet for you.

If thats not what your looking for can you can give a clearer example?

Hi Dallas

When you hover the mouse over a price can the expected p&l be shown?
eg to tell you what your expected live profit loss would be before actually sending the bet

if you have to enter the odds and stake into a calculator that would take ages!

It cant be done by hoovering on the once-click or manual bet screen both these have a trade profit colum with or without greening but it only relates to the current trading price.

You can see a expected P&L for any price on the ladder view (if trade profit colum is ticked in settings, ladder)

Oh...

Im not into trading ladders just yet - Im just looking for point and click betting...

so I got a stake of 67.05 (derived from a staking plan) and a lay odds of say 5.8

then to find my lability in the heat of battle I would need to get my calculator and enter 67.05 x 4.8 to see my liability - and then the odds change

Are you sure there's no way to see the p&l prior to placing the bet?

or how about laying to a fixed liability?

Trading the ladders is just as easy if not easier than the grid screens, point and click can be done just the same and there is alot more info avalible on the ladder view, the only difference is visual where grids display only a few prices horizontally the ladders do it vertically in more depth, placed, closing and cancelling bets are still one click.

Im a little confussed now as to what your actuall wanting to do your 1st post suggested you wanted to calculate your future closing positon where as you latest post was about knowing the liability on your opening position?

You can change the "Auto stake" near the top right of the page and set a fixed liabilty you want so there is no need to calculate anything, just put £67.05 in there and it will lay the required amount based on those odds
