Hello,

I have a few questions if someone can help me.

1)If I am in the middle of trade pre horse racing, If a non runner occurs and I am in the middle of a open position, The market is suspended for a few seconds. When the book re opens, what happens with my position?
Will my open position adjust on the ladder? A little confused.

2) Pre horse racing trading. Any traders out there that swing trade and scalp horse racing?
What sort of strike rate is the going rate? Someone will probably turn around and say how long is a piece of string. Just in general. What sort of strike rate could I look to achieve?

Thank you for your help

Strike rate depends on you the indivdual, there is no set rate,

1) If you have a edge into the market then it will be resonably high

2) If you have no strategy, mindset to exit when your plan is wrong or no dicipline to do things you shouldnt then a very low rate sometimes a blown bank

Its all about you, once you have a strategy, a edge and mindset to follow that plan the rest will lokk after itself and it all comes with time mine did

Thank you for your reply.

I am just very curious. I have been trading just over 4 weeks now and my strike rate today was just over 70%. I traded 32 pre races in total scalping and swinging.
Its just that I can see improvement on a daily basis, I was just curious to know if anyone else has higher, I am trading almost every race I can, So I am not even being that selective at the moment.
I can already see from analysing this evening how much I can improve for tomorrow. I
have been in profit for 5 days in a row now and I was just very curious.

If anyone has the answer to my first question I would really appreciate it.

If you're pretty good at scalping you should have about 90% "strike rate" in general and it should be near impossible to have a losing day. By strike rate I mean ending up in profit on a single race, not individual scalps. For swings the strike rate is usually lower but it all depends how big your losses and wins are.

I think Peter Webb said in one of his recent videos that he has 2 losing races in 10.
