There used to be service.betfair.com; now this page redirects you to the main page.
Not much good that it did, it only showed there was a problem long after bet angel users had discovered it. This forum topic is more accurate than betfairs service page ever has been!

I am not entirely sure how the betfair backend works but I am fairly sure we have had instances where the website is down but the API is fine.Dallas wrote:I agree forum is usually the fastest way to be notified, i also have this link saved in my fav's

Sorry my error
I was trading on one VPS and it hung, got the message :-
17/11/2015 13:43:13: Market changed to Ling 17th Nov - 13:50 1m2f Hcap
Exception: The operation has timed out
I switched to my other VPS and could see that things wer just fine, strange one that?
(PS: For any newbies; I had matching opposite bets fired in out of the money and take SP running in guardian, so saved a heart attack! )

Good evening,
Apologies for the late notice here however I just wanted to make you aware of a planned outage taking place tomorrow morning.
Whilst the outage will not last the full 45 minutes, we recommend avoiding the web site/ API during this period.

do we have an idea of the time the outage will happen?
