I've been looking at getting into pre-match soccer trading. At the moment, I am manually compiling the odds based on spread ex and sporting index.

I started to trial Bet Angel, and in particular Soccer Mystic. Are the odds in Soccer Mystic, based on Poisson Distribution ?

Can anyone give any feedback with regards pre-matching trading with Soccer Mystic... and it's accuracy.

At this stage, I'm not interested in In-Play markets, just pre-match before the game has started.

Thanks.

from what i remember last year looking at it,betangel take something like 10.000 simular matches or maybe 100.000 and the soccer mystic gives a reading of where the odds are most likely to go based on historical odds,(i think) but from my experience a bookie or heavy punter, syndicate can hit the market for 150.000 and all the odds .and what you think will happen go to shit..in my opioion its better to be able to read the book and trade what you see,
good luck

Thanks for your reply. So Soccer Mystic doesn't take into consideration the current spread ex or sporting index prices, just historical stats....

Team news is the biggest indicator of pre off movement on matches.

There is little or no correlation between spread prices and market moves on Betfair. Any minor correlation was killed when Betfair introduced cross market cross matching as that meant that prices in one market WILL reflect the prices in others. Basically there is no net inefficiency across markets before the off now. Any movement in one market will be immediately reflected in another.

Market watching or watching the team news is the best strategy for football pre off.
