Evening Dudes.

I created some simple automation based on the videos on betangeltv - a lay the field and front runner type affair - tried these out fine, they worked.

Today fired up Guardian and selected the automation front runner and it did not fire - so I closed everything down, went back in - worked fine for both automations.... at the end of my session I left a lay the field command in place, popped my PC on sleep, went away, cam back and it did not fire (even though it fired in the same session earlier.

I've double checked the commands and I've replicated the videos 100% - any ideas if Guardian isn't reliable or if I'm being a goon :)

It won't work if your PC is in sleep mode. I have been having same problem myself.

No its not a hit and miss - Guardian will work everytime providing you have everything set correctly.

First thing to do is in Guardian make sure you have "Automatically Switch Bet Angel Market" ticked and in the "Market switch time" box enter the number of second you want guardian to open the market before the off (If your automation is for In-running you can set this to 5 secs)

When you have busy days like today you may find that if one race clashes with another guardian will switch to the next before the previous has ended - so when using IR rules always leave enough time between each market to allow for delays and the race to finish before having guardian open the next market.
If you want to trade races with close off time's then just open 2 instances of BA and guardian and split the meetings between the two.

I also have sleep, hibination and even screensaver etc disbaled on mine when ever its unattended and i have automation running.

Another thing Duderino, check settings on any Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Windows Updates, or similar. For some updates, a restart is needed. If you have them authorised to auto-update then you'll come home to a clear home screen, with Bet Angel closed down, as your computer has restarted to apply updates.

Change all relevant settings on the programs to "Download but do not install/apply", or "Inform me when an update is available"

You're not being a goon by any means, there's plenty of helpful people on the forum :)

So its not possible to run the same rule set on say 5x different football matches all starting @ 3pm for example?

Edit: I've since found it is.

Another issue though, I get the 'applies to a different selection error' when adding a O/U 2.5 rule to markets. I've already changed the criteria which was causing this to use selection 1 or 2 instead of the specific O/U market but still this error persists.

Is it possible to manually edit the rules file, and remove the name of the selection from the 2nd line or wherever it is?

thx.

You can't edit the rule outside of the rule editor, so check each of the rules and its conditions. It might be that you're choosing the selection 'by name' which pins it to a single market. Use one of the other options such as 'by row index' to make the rule generic.

If you think you've uncovered a bug then export the rule file and send it to us at [email protected] and we'll have a look.

As mentioned, I already switched it to by row but the error is still appearing.

Here are the first 4x lines of a .baf file:

5.0
1.122258127
Sheff Wed v Wolves - Over/Under 2.5 Goals
8
0001

I assume its the 'Sheff Wed v Wolves - Over/Under 2.5 Goals' which is causing the problem as that string is present in the error too and its the only place it's present in the .baf file. Do I just blank the line or delete it altogether and leave myself with 4x lines?

Thanks!

To LukeFras

Here is the beginning of a baf file that uses "by name"... (obviously without the dashes)

----------
4.0
6777831
(Sat) Stoke v Man Utd (Live) - Under/Over - Goals (2.5)
1
0001
----------

and here is the same file after editing to use "by row"...

----------
4.0

1
0001
----------

Therefore, it would appear that the lines you show must come from a baf file that does not use "by row".

I would check the automation rule again - perhaps the changes you made were not applied and saved.

Editing those first few lines directly will not work as there are other lines later in the baf file that change depending on whether you use "by row" or "by name".

In which case its a bug, as neither of those strings are mentioned anywhere else in the baf, and only 'by row' is used in the .baf file.

The file was originally created or last edited using 'by name' prior to changing everything to 'by row' so I guess the fixture name etc has just hung on. Pehaps thats due to using 'Current' in conditions, would it be better to switch to 'Nominated' and manually define the rows in conditions to be used there?

Or I should be ok deleting those 2 lines as rows are definitely the only thing used?... The rules file itself is working perfectly in all markets, its just when manually adding it, that Y/N error pops up.

Cheers
