I normally wait and watch movies as and when there online but when it comes to Star Wars first viewing has to be at the pics for me - the last movie I went to see was Revenge of the Sith 10yrs ago

To avoid spoilers I popped into the cinema last night with my son. I think to have the best impact you need to see it as quickly as possible before the story line leaks out.

I still remember seeing the very first one for my birthday in 1977!

I sat in the cimena with two teenage sons, missus and a room full of excited people. We all clapped at the opening credits, booed at the false starts because of a glitch, then settled into our seats to begin the journey.
It was everything I needed, exciting, entharlling and absorbing. Im sure it can be pulled to bits, but it has some of the original wit and lines, it's alive all the way through. The best thing was been there with the family, in some of the scenes I turned and saw my 10 year old self in my kids who were hanging on the edge of their seats. We all cheered when characters arrived, cheered when they got out of tight spots and cheered some more when when they won.
At the end the applause erupted, then we all sat there and watched every credit float off into space, breathing with deep satifaction.
As a collective experience, it as second to none.
May the force be with you.....

I had a similar experience in the cinema I was in. I was miles away from home but just found the nearest cinema and watched it rather than sit in traffic in the rush hour. I'll remember the experience for some time.

It's on the R5 live podcast with Daton Adebayo, is there a smiley for tragi-comic?

At least they got their ticket money back!

It's worth recording for when you have one of those red, red, red, reeeeeeeeddd! days
