Same here. Southwell with higher priced favourites races are just horrendous, cant even get the money through

What idiot decided to stick Lingfield on 5 minutes before Ascot. Really stupid.

I think I have noticed a big problem, they try and make the irish racing fit inbetween the UK meetings. This is the UK not Ireland, Why cant the lingfield meeting be scheduled the same time as Ireland. I mean its not exactly the punchestown festival today is it?
Have the lowest graded meeting on a saturday to clash with the Irish racing.

It is almost untradeable today. 80k Matched 5 mins out at Ascot.
Another hour to allow it to pick up if not calling it a day.

It has been the case for years, nothing likely to change.

Anyone would think it is the Levy that pays for the industry

If they spent as much time moaning about race times as those that don't pay the Levy I might have some sympathy for the industry.

No UK race now for 15 mins then 3 in 10 minutes - genius planning scheduling in a gap for us traders to make lunch.

I was just testing a new amendment to a strategy on that last race at Chelm..I just wanted to make sure something greened in play..

The race was well underway and I noticed that book price on the lay side was much greater than 100%
I only had the book making setting set at Lay with a stake of £14 and managed a nice £20 or so ..(only did three bookmaking clicks), surprised it produced such a Large return?

Ive noticed this alot recently (book prices in play) just wondered if anyone had noticed and had any comments? Just looked different again somehow? (not XM 3 surely :o )

Thanks
Regards
Peter

Hi Marc,
Just checked my account; they def paid out.
In general, Im always very wary of anything that looks too good to be true on Betfair. Ive read some horor stories over the years
In this case, I got paid, but a question to the forum in general - Could I have been stung by doing this?
Any advice welcome
Thanks
Regards
Peter

Had you layed one of the runners that was removed and used the exposure to lay others you could have gone into negative balance once the runner was removed. On average xm is turned off at least once a day, sometimes more and can be very profitable / dangerous if the above occurs!

yes that was my thinking too Liam.
wouldn't it be nice if Betfair switched off XM for one day over Christmas! (boxing day would be nice ;) )
