Have the Aus markets been running OK over the last couple of days? One of my bots has massive gaps around 2 til 10 for both days where it hasn't played any markets. It reloads markets every couple of hours so dunno if my code needs looking at (been running fine for ages) or if the Aus API has been playing up as usual.

Was gonna add some error logging for tonight but if the API has been dodgy I'll save myself the hassle.

No obvious problems at my end. Have been placing bets the last couple days at the times you mentioned without issues for me.

Thanks, I'll add some additional error coding make sure it's pulling down the markets, could be the API or just my connection I guess.

I've always found the AUS api to be a bit flaky but the aus markets bot well so hard to miss them out.

I seem to remember a similar problem last year, around the same time. I forget the full details, but thought it was to do with Aus racing start times and the calendar year changing?

Yes, happens on day light savings (to and from) and also on happy new year. Oh well, three days a year.

API rooted. Almost did a week's worth, were it not for a lucky photo.

Not just the API, couldn't close a thing on the Betfair site either just then at Peno (AUS) 14th Jan - 13:57 R2 : frozen from a couple of minutes before the jump until race done and I was on the wrong side of that.
Anyone ever get response from Betfair what they're doing that makes freezes/outages more common during the middle of the night UK time?

Back to back races turned in play, then suspended shortly after.

It's all over the place.

Bigger group races tend to reach around £250k or so. Major races will do a bit more, the biggy being the Melbourne cup.

Someone got their automation or their early lays wrong today at Doomben. Runners backed early at 1.05. Also occurred on races 3 & 4

This is my first year trading full-time on Australian racing.

Currently at $34,620.05 profit thus far this year, which I am happy with. I still make some mistakes, such as leaving my closing bet too late (liquidity very poor in many harness markets), but I am improving everyday. I solely do manual trading.

I get the feeling there are very few traders in Australian markets. On Sundays, for instance, it seems like many traders have the day off and markets just don't move how I'd expect them too or should. The liquidity can be too weak.
