Hi there - I have found my copy of Bet Angel to be somewhat unreliable if I leave it running overnight to carry out some automation rules I find that in the morning the application has crashed, therefore I was wondering if it might be worthwhile investing in a subscription to the Bet Angel Professional - Virtual Private Server and was wondering if anyone else subscribes to VPS. Alternatively does anyone have any tips or tweaks to prevent the app from crashing. Many Thanks.

You may find an upgrade to your PC will fix your problem. I was having a similar problem using my old (2-3 years?) Pentium D; recently upgraded the box to intel i7 Quad core, and now it just spins away quietly and happily, without tying itself up in knots!

Plenty of people on this forum use VPS i personally dont (yet) depending on the type of trading your doing would depend how much of a benefit it would be.
If your wanting to run automation for several hours a day/night especially of your not there to monitor it then it will be the best and most reliable solution in the long run and will save on wear and tear on you PC.

In the mean time if your running automation from a PC/laptop I always have all screensavers, sleep modes, energy saving options etc disabled and also all automatic updates which can cause possible restarts turned off and finally make sure all other programs are closed and stopped from running in the background.

I have the sleep mode disabled and that seems to be sufficient to allow automation to run all day with no problems.

What is a Virtual Private Server and why might I need one?
