There is instructions in the opening post how to change the stakes used, with the DOBing (Doublr or Bust) stratergy your trying to identify horses that will trade at half there odds during running even if thats outsiders with no real chance of winning the race but they do have a good chance of halving in price from say 80.0 to 40.0 and then you either double or lose your stake, ill PM you a link for a site which identifies horse with a good record for trading at low IR odds
Alternativly you could add some stop losses or close trade conditions if you did nt want to take the full loss
DOBing - Back & Lay at 50% Guardian Automation Bot
Hi Dallas - I have studied it but am not quite sure how to read the stats - Could you kindly explain what I should be looking for, from the screen shot below for example, when choosing which horses to nominate, thanks again Dallas, I really appreciate your help - Cheers.

If you look at captain red beard he has traded at odds 50% lower than his Betfair SP 5 times out of the 7 races he ran so this would be a ideal one to run this rule on
You would of made a £10 profit 5 times and lost £10 twice using this rule on his previous races - and he's never even won a race!

You can just choose 1 if you like. As for involving 3 or more it becomes a lot more difficult and is best left for bigger fields. How to make a system with 3 options is something Dallas will help you with
Hi Dallas. Would like to send me link if it is not a problem about inplay DOB stats that you send to betnfuir if possible. Another thing I was looking and if can be implemented is if you can add Historical fixed data with max odds of 10 that in last 5 minutes steamed more than 10 ticks and placed a bet 1 second before off. Thanks.

"Historic Relative Odds Condition"
To specify the price has to now be 10 ticks less than it was 300 secs ago (5mins)
and "Fixed Odds Condition"
To specify the odds are below 10.0

Just a couple of more questions on this please.
1.If instead of DOBing 50% can you dob 30% or 40%? Would this be done by altering the conditions where it says 'The selections trading profit is greater than £10' in this example? Could I just alter it to say £5 or £2 or £1 etc,is this correct?
2. How would I set it to simply take the liability out and either take a profit if the selection wins or have £0 spread across the other runners?
Thanks for your time.

The answer your questions
1) Yes by altering your trading profit this will adjust how low the horses odds needs to reach to close your trade, the higher the profit the lower the odds it must trade at to reach that profit.
2) You can change the rule type used to remove the greening element but your effectively changing this rule into a Back 2 lay type rule then.
I have already done a Back 2 Lay rule which only takes the liability out in the offset, which will be called "Create a free bet on the Fav" ill try and get it uploaded later today and it ll be easier for you to work with this.

Hi everyone,
First of all, thanks Dallas for posting the automation file for this strategy.
I only recently bought Bet Angel, and stumbled across this thread because I was struggling trying to build my own DOB automation rule file. I was trying to figure out how to get it to trade the 3rd favourite in certain races, rather than a nominated selection.
I tweaked the rule set Dallas kindly shared in this thread by changing the 'Applies to selection' field to 'in position 3 (sorted in order of favouritism) for both rules. However, after testing it today, the first rule fires fine, but the second rule didn't do anything. I'm thinking this might be because it has lost context of which horse to apply it to (given that the order of favouritism will change dramatically in-play).
So I guess my question is whether my original requirement is possible, and if so, how can it be achieved?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks again Dallas for sharing

Hi Dallas - any chance of letting me know the link to the site you mention above?Dallas wrote:There is instructions in the opening post how to change the stakes used, with the DOBing (Doublr or Bust) stratergy your trying to identify horses that will trade at half there odds during running even if thats outsiders with no real chance of winning the race but they do have a good chance of halving in price from say 80.0 to 40.0 and then you either double or lose your stake, ill PM you a link for a site which identifies horse with a good record for trading at low IR odds

When you say first and second rule i assume you mean the back fires ok but the green-up (Lay bet) does not?Frinck wrote:Hi everyone,
