Hi
Would I be right in saying that if I place a bet with off set ticks
at 0 stop trigger at 3 and trailing stop at 5 ticks.
This would produce the following results
The bet would run to the end providing it did not go 3 ticks the
wrong way and anything above 5 ticks will be a profit.
Thanks for any help

Stop Trigger
you would have to set an offset of more then 0 because the trigger would keep putting bets in at the same price you backed or layed. EG. if you back a horse at 2.5 it would then put a lay bet in at 2.5. so you must specify a number of ticks for a profit .A typical eg is back at 2.5 offset by 50 ticks .this in a pre race market is very unlikly but use as example.set with a trailing stop would then if market goes the correct way will pull your profit up behind you, then if the market was to go 3 ticks against you would stop you out with minimal loss.If you are going to use this method please select your market carefully as a volitile market even if the market is going your way will keep stopping you out,as the market typically will go 2/4 ticks in the wrong direction every so often, try this method on a class 1 or 2 handicap race where the market seems steady, not on an all weather maiden,if trying on all weather donkey race, set your trigger stop at least 10 ticks ,these markets will always go against you ,whatever you do, its knowing what the market usually retreats to pre off.I hope that helps.
