Automation Greyhound bot Advice

Hi,

I have been playing around with a greyhound bot through Guardian.

I started using Lay bet with different parameters and I was getting a constant loss of -17p. Great I though at least its conctant. So I thought Instead of laying I will just change it to Back bet. Lol and yet again I still get a constant -17p loss.?

So no matter if I back or lay it still throws up a loss anyone want to share or any advise as to turn the loss to profit. I am just going round in circles.

It was with £2 stakes pretty similar settings to the BetAngel.

Greyhound markets usually have lots of gaps between prices and bounce about alot so if backing you could try requesting a price rather than taking best price by offering your money a few ticks above the current best price

Things are slowly starting to look a bit different, which is good. Also in guardian how would I set for example if the is a loss of -0.16p how do I set is that it closes all trades and takes the loss.

I see there is a close trade profit selection but no close trade loss. I have tried using the profit one and putting the figure in as -0.16 and it does not activate if there is a loss.

The Close trade profit condition can do either you just set the amount you want
The Green all profit condition will also do them same when a loss is equaled or exceeded

Depending on which rule type and how many selections you are trading on depends which of the above conditions will work the best for that situation

In the conditions
if you set it as
Less than -0.16

Thank you for your reply. I am just doing a basic back then lay trade, small stakes and just trying to get a bot working to get a small profit not out of this world just something to work with.

Hope you don't mind me asking but Do you use bot on a regular basis which makes profit regularly. I have looked at other bots but thought I would use Betangel and see how I get on.

Yes i run them daily on the IR horse racing markets, i dont yet use one on the greyhounds markets - I am in the process of making one and have been for a number of months, every so often i do go back to it and do a bit more work on it hopefully a few more months and it should be right
