Just been looking at an old post about a binary ladder on an excel sheet.

it is when instead of ticks you look at percentages or so to say implied probability

no. it's something exotic but in essence is the same thing as ticks are. It does show though that a move from 1.96 to 2.00 is the same as from 50 to 100 which is the same 1% chance difference.
