Why do bf not allow to cancel bets immediately, if there is an in play delay?
I understand having an in play delay to stop people submitting bets quickly courts ide but surely bets submitting don't get any gain by having a long delay so should be able to cancel?

On football I sometimes see bets with say 9 second delay counting down to go in the market and from the reaction of the money I can see something obviously has happened and I want to cancel, but I can't. The milisecond my bet hits the market it is taken and the market suspends.

Maybe bad timing okay, but why can we not cancel bets during the 9 seconds it is taking to get to the market?

If you could do that then the delay would be pointless as you could setup a program to constantly place orders and cancel before hitting the market.

Used to be a well known 'trick' in the good old days, was similar to the one where you could tie up your balance and still fire in bets, if a goal was scored you just freed up the balance so the bets would hit the market and clear the queue rather than being rejected.

Luckily they've closed those loopholes, and plenty of other glitches that used to be present, and extended in play delays cos it's pretty much impossible to suspend as a goal goes in 100% on time.

I presumed that was the case. I'd much prefer a market with no in play delays, especially when some delays are so long. BF must clean up so much cash from not having the long delays themselves, if they can see what bets are coming if they could delay a suspension a milisecond or speed up the suspensions.
