Any advice please on what green-up timings/conditions to use when in-running?
I set a Green All Selections rule to fire at about half-way through the race in-running as my 'Stop Trading' point and take whatever profit/loss I have earned but sometimes it doesn't work! I say "doesn't work" not because my green-up isn't matched (and sometimes it isn't and I accept that as a risk with the volatility of in-running odds but I'm working on it!) but sometimes I cannot find any trace of the bet being fired (nothing in the Lapsed etc. categories, nothing visual in the unmatched bets before the race end and unmatched scalping bets not cancelled at green-up firing time). My settings are ...
200ms refresh rate
first fire at anticipated 1/2 race time
Trigger up to 3 times
Wait 5 seconds before rearming
Continue until time for 2/3rds race time
(Anticipated race time is taken from averaging extensive database of race times at all distances)
So for example for a 6 furlong sprint the green-up is timed to fire at 37 seconds and stop firing at 49 seconds so I would expect it to fire 9 times (triggered for 3 fires at 37, 42 and 47 seconds into the race). For 3 milers and further the fire/rearming could span over a minute!
Could the number of firings be upsetting the system? I've tried many settings but still get misfires.
Has anyone any experience of greening-up in running?

Greening-up In-Running
The timing you have specified means it will trigger three times (not 9),
The first time will be at 37secs, the second at 42secs and third at 47secs using your 5sec re-arm
If you check the "Automation tab" at the bottom of the main guardian page that will tell you how many times each of your rules triggered (including your green up) and the "log tab" next to it will show the timings of all matched and unmatched bets for that event.
So you should be able to confirm if there at least going into the market even if not being matched due to the volitilty
For greening up in-running i always use
3-5 triggers
2 sec re-arm

Thanks Dallas, I've been confused by the Trigger X times/wait Y seconds as different forms of words are used in the videos, at least now I know
