I bought the video pass just before Christmas time. It's an addition for me to look at things from another angle, and the more quality things I know, it's only going to help me. I didn't get the digital book though.

I'm pleased with my purchase. He says everything informally as if you were in the room with him. I like him in his You Tube uploads as well which spurred me on to buy the vids. I've also been to Peter's Masterclass, btw. It all helps.

Good luck.

Fergie, about 5 months after literally from learning scratch, so I had a good grasp of the general terms and functions and a bit of experience of practice and live situations of BA before I went in.

I've ploughed loads of hours into learning most days, general get-to-know practicing, getting used to functions, researching some Dutching strategies (which paid for the course), but now I've just concentrated on only trading progression for a few months. Small stakes for consistency, then increase, which I'm doing. Had a week off when I thought it was getting on top of me a bit and came back fresher, looking at and analysing situations.

Both Caan's, and Peter's material can only improve me, so I'm glad I purchased both, amongst a couple of others I find useful.

Learning and doing are two seprate entities though. I make sure I'm sat trading regularly (about 4-5 days per week - small stakes) and even if I think I'm getting nowhere, after time (a few years) and good planning I'm sure I will do fine. It's making sure you do it long enough that even without thinking, you know what will happen through familiarity.

There's a couple of digital books on Amazon that I got as well. Guy called Wayne I think he's called. He has a few You Tube vids as well. I just just watch lots of videos along with Peter's literature from the Masterclass day, some other people are more useful than others but it all helps see it from another angle so can't be too bad.

This forum is very helpful as well of course, and there are a lot of very experienced and successful traders here.

Plenty of small stakes experience in the markets is still one of the best sources of knowledge, though.

Unfortunately 99% of the 'advice' out there is just old material, or other people's material with a pretty wrapper on it designed to earn a few quid for the protagonists. There is little original material out there. If the source of the material published was revealed, the extent of plagiarism or or the P&L of the advice givers, it would be a surprise to many..

Not trying to be negative, but advising that you should go into these things with your eyes open. Most people are there to make money from you, rather than for you.

The forum, advice, videos and other stuff here should be useful and give you a good basis on which to engage in the market. That's what we are trying to achieve and encourage here and will expand as much as we can over time.
