Looks like Betfair have released an 'official' iPhone app. Doesn't do much but it is free.

Very similar to the ibet-mate app which wasn't free.
Can put bets on, check your balance..what more do you want :)

Hi
Just installed it too...
I assume that this will contribute (3?) to the max 20 data requests?

There doesnt seem to be a logout function? Do you think that when you drop the link it automatically logs you out? Might just email their helpdesk to confirm...
Thanks
Peter

Here's the answer from betfair:-

Dear Peter,

Thank you for your e-mail.

As it is still a new product, we are not certain on the amount of data requests the iphone will produce therefore we recommend to reduce your API request to 16 requests if you intend to use the iphone in conjunction.

To log out, please go to the my account section, log our will be in the top right hand corner.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further enquiries.

Kind regards,

Carl Albon

Is this a new App? I have had one on my iPhone for ages. It appears to be some sort of wrapper like JimRobo mentioned.

I've used it a couple of times but it's nothing special.

I think the actual iphone app is new.. well i couldn't find it a couple of months ago on the Appstore ..

But its not a great deal different in appearance/functionality to the web based one that's optimized for iphone. e.g https://iphone.betfair.com/
