Very nice Betdaq results Euler, a magnificent seven. Fair play to you.

I did rubbish today, value range beans on toast for me tonight.

From quality of race horses perspective, Thursday looks very much the best of the week IMO.

Betdaq wasn't exactly a shambles today

Euler, what's the earliest you opened up a position on any market today if you don't mind me asking, 5/10/15/20 mins?

I would start in small amounts just after the previous race had finished.

Cheltenham today (Tuesday)

If you had laid the second favourite 10 mins or so out and backed at post time you would have made £58.97 to £100 stakes
If you had backed the third favourite 10 mins or so out and laid at post time you would have made £35.03 to £100 stakes

SP was pretty balanced today

Charts : https://www.betangel.com/betfair-charts ... nham_2017/

Turnover on Betfair was almost exactly the same as last year at £28m. Betdaq did 13.64% of Betfair volume vs. 15.19% last year and was down 9%

Set a simple target, work my a*se off to achieve it and come up a few bob short!
All's I was aiming for was £200.

And I missed my tea cos ' two of the three losses were whoppers.

Slightly better than the living wage I suppose, Does anybody know if my takeaway is tax-deductible?

And the Pound has gone down again,.

It's a hard life

easy for us all to get cocky (especially us new boys) - lets keep 'em heads/egos level going into day 2. even if you had a poor day, the goal should be to keep those banks intact & get to cheltenham 2027 (that's my goal anyway) #bigpicture :)

I think I'll be doing similar on Wednesday to Tuesday, Take an early high price on Davy Russells mounts in the chases and laying it off in 10%ages until I'm happy to reach my get-out point. He's a bad reputation as being a bit of a cad/dodgy fxcker, but he's a pure bred hunter similar to Paul Carberry, he'll keep the horse safe on the outside and away from danger/fallers in front, confident and loves jumping, the higher the better! If he's in the front 5 or 6 come 3 fences out I'll have the vast majority of my back layed off by then :)

Jack Kennedy's hurdlers will be the ones I'm watching out for too. He was somewhat unknown to many in the UK until he got Labaik to actually start today, that's an achievement in itself! The winning was the icing on the cake for the connections. He's one of the most highly rated young jockeys on this side of the Irish Sea, held in the highest regard by many as a future champion/Ruby/McCoy type who can dominate the scene. Only 17 but from the pony racing circuit which he won 3 times I think, getting his license as he hit 16. Ponies have brains, horses are trained - if you can get a little boll0x of a pony to do what you want, racehorse riding is a breeze!

Elsewhere I didn't have Tiger Roll in my choices. Used to live about a mile away from the jockey Lisa O'Neill. Her dad Tommy trains(trained, not sure if he still does) a rake of no-hopers. Had a winner of a few races called China Tealeaf many moons ago owned by the owner of the (1 of 2) pubs in the village I lived in. Used to come back into the pub after a win with the crowd of 15 cheering and buying everyone a drink like he was JP McManus

Davy Russel is my favourite jockey. He usually picks up a few good priced winners every year.

Not getting too cocky ruthlessimon, it was a good day yesterday, and a recovery job - 5 steps forward and one mighty leap for mankind - BACKWARDS!

More like a game of snakes and ladders.

I must stop those losses.

I don't like doing the evening races - they are too easily manipulated and the messing around with start times is infuriating. :x

Fair give me indigestion so it does,

Hope everybody has a good day, and we all end up :D :D :D :D :D
