When it came to the big race I wondered if the favourite would be backed as seen in other races and that's exactly what happened. Decent result.

There was definetly a pattern to this afternoon, i must of been a bit slow on the uptake today took me a bit longer to spot it but made use of it in the end.

is this common for the same runner to offer the same pattern, (or similar) in consecutive markets?

If you notice a gamble that was odd or out of the ordinary stick it in a tracker. Racing post and ATR offer a tracker and email you when it runs next. Could help you find some nice gambles and drifts. Or check out pattern form.com worth having a look everyday as you can see price movements in runners last runs.

It is with increasing amusement that I view Betfair charts nowadays. It seems a lot of the market has no idea what is value.

And long may it last if the result is graphs like this :D

When Jo(e) Public logs on to BF for a quick bet, and could get anything randomly from 2.0 to 5.0 on a horse that's 5/2 at the bookies, selling BF as a value alternative pitches the concept a little over their heads. No wonder they're growth is slowing.. I think.

What was it? £1.75bn wasted on bingo last year. It's the dawn of a new golden era for layers and value seekers. It's just a shame even more of the silly money isn't interested in sports betting.
