That last one is a mistake I almost made years ago, but thankfully I had the confirm bets window ticked.
I was trying to place some money on footy market at odds of 24, but entered 2.4 instead.

I posted an image of this runner two days ago (on Sat the 15/09/12) when it drifted really big. The same thing happened today.
The instant I saw this runner's name alarm bells rang in my head and I wondered if history would repeat itself. But early on it steamed 6 ticks and I thought, Ok now that confirms a less that 50% probability that it will drift. So I gave up the idea of looking for a drift.
Then the drift started at high 3's I was still less than 50% sure if it would drift. Then it hit early 4's and I thought should I lay it now? But wait, what if it turns around suddenly? So I did nothing.
Then it reached 5 and I resisted the temptation of following the crowd's wisdom. The last thing I wanted to do was chase the price.
Then it crossed 6 and I thought, Gee whiz, what was it that I failed to recognize about this drift. Trades like this don't come around often. I was there waiting for it, and all I did was watch the entire move happen with a gaping mouth. It was the most volatile runner of the day.
