Ah I still dunno mangreenmark wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 6:29 pmI don't know either. But over the years I've noticed a trend. Successful managers are compelling when being interviewed, in their own way.
Mourinhio and Pep and Klopp yeah OK. Ancelotti intrigues me. So quiet, undemonstrative. The biggest giveaway? The eyebrow lift.
I wonder (and this is terribly racist) whether he has friends that will make you an offer you can't refuse. Like what's that horse's head doing in my bed? etc
I really don't know but some guys/girls have it. And it seems to translate onto the pitch. Fergie, Dalgish. They all had it.

A lot of the UK (and Irish) tv media in fairness have good interviewers that ask the awkward questions, I think that's what puts the shits up them and causes the eyebrow raises and the slight look away from the interviewer in a subconscious "fuck off away from me". Fergie and Klopp were able to get through it and still talk but be less forthcoming to further questions, Mourinho took it as a personal attack and went on the attack against the officials, the fixture list, the media, anyone in his mind in the last 7 days

Ancelotti I'd put in the group of just not used to UK type interviews when real questions are asked. Could be mob related too though
