Morning all
I was expecting to see an Expert Fee tab this morning, but I cannot see anything to do with it on the Desktop site. Can anyone point me in the correct direction?

Re the new portal.
How does it know what fee rate you will be paying next week? Surely this may depend on the coming week's P&L? Especially if you are hovering just below one of the banding thresholds.

Interestingly my Expert Fee is not exactly what I expected it to be. Not much different (less than a pound), but usually I am spot on.
Being a 40% rate PC payer staying at a 40% rate EF payer I was £98.77 worse off than I would have been under the Premium Charge system, due to the reduction in implied commission rate.

Based on the last 52 weeks not the inclusive 52 weeks, all the docs state your fee for the coming week is based on the last 52. I guess if the current week drops you sub £100K or £25K it'd be reflected in the next week but not this one. Obviously you'd have to meet the rest of the criteria that week for money to be taken but the rate is set at the start of the week not end.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 12:22 pmRe the new portal.

Next week's fee rate is based on the previous 52 weeks and is recalculated each week.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 12:22 pmRe the new portal.

My assumption was that the rate paid is based on the immediate preceding 52 active weeks.
eg on monday of wk54; your rate applied to wk53's profit would be based on profit from wks2 to 53.
This would suggest perhaps the rate applied to wk53's profit would actually be based on profit from wks1 to 52.
Anyone know which?

My 52 wk gross profit shown on the new EF page is exactly equal to my gross P&L for the preceding 52 weeks up until close of business yesterday.
Therefore it does seem that the rate is based on your last 52 weeks, (ie wks -1 to -52, rather than wks -2 to -53).
Therefore my original question stands... How does it know what fee rate you will be paying next week? It can't know for certain (unless you are already on 40%). So why show it? It makes me wonder if I'm missing something.
