I am in the market for a new router - any suggestions or what to look for?

Nice to see you back after your break. I know you are in this full time like me so I advise Draytek Vigor 2820n
I use Draytek products all the time and they are brilliant. Can only think of one fault in over 10 years. If you don't need wireless then use one without the n suffix.
I like the easy QoS function that allows me to guarantee I get at least 60% of the bandwidth whilst the kids etc fight for the rest.
This unit has a great firewall and more features than you can shake a stick at but it is so reliable and fast. You can also have ADSL and cable as a fail over option.
