Google, valoresperado.blogspot.co.uk , you will have to translate it. Its written by a Portuguese football trader. If you go back through old posts read the comments aswell lots of good info there. Good luck.
Wow thanks Jay, that's just what I needed. Not sure how I missed that one tbh, probably because it wasn't written in English. I really appreciate you linking this blog with your first post after 6 years of lurking on this forum :)

I could not have said it better myself Peter, but not only are there snake oil salesmen at every corner, there's also some creative downright scammers that "teach" newbies how to trade but they do not even trade themselves and have never traded successfully either. "Those who can, do; those who can't, teach" applies perfectly in this case. When I was starting out I joined a few footy trading communities and had to filter out tons and tons of useless info to get to the few bits of genuine information, it's pretty brutal for any newcomers to football trading. There's barely any genuine information out there for beginners, let alone anything useful for serious traders. Bottom line, you can only trust your own self and in your own work.

That was my impression as well so thank you for confirming it. Sounds a bit lonesome, but I guess that is the way of the footy trader

Most full-time sport traders have an interest across a number of sports.

Just for starters, in between the football seasons we have 2 Golf majors and 2 Tennis Slams

Haven't personally met any footy fulltimers yet (hence this thread), I only know of a few Portuguese traders.

There was Copa America this summer which was pretty liquid, but other than that there's not much to do really, a few liquid games here and there. Last summer there was the World Cup and the next one there's the Euros, so it's not so bad.

For me personally RG and Wimbledon saved the day, along with Copa America, so my results didn't suffer too much. I thought this summer was going to be absolutely horrid (my 1st summer as a full timer), I didn't expect to actually trade much of anything but just work on new footy strats instead for next season, so I'm over the moon with how it turned out. Normal footy is back in just a few weeks, it actually starts 1 week earlier than usual which is fantastic. Without those 2 tennis slams I would probably have to go back to horses and that would suck. Golf unfortunately is a complete unknown for me, wouldn't even know where to start.

Yeah I was thinking they would trade other sports. Even during regular season its heavily focused around the weekends.... so they would be ample time for footy traders to work on other things (assuming they are full time traders that it)
