To their credit they have settled this market well. Anybody carrying a trade in-play is stuffed but that's not Betfair's fault on this occasion.

Goodness me, 15:00 Curragh, suspended slightly late, not turned in play. This is almost becoming a daily occurance.

And again on the 17:30 at Curragh!

A complete and utter shambles given it's the Irish Oaks tomorrow.

if ever there was a need for a viable alternative.....not sure why all the straight punters/layers put up with it as I think Betdaq could be used by them, then perhaps the traders would start to follow.

We all keep hearing on the BF forum about us pesky traders spoiling it for the punters so why they don't move is very odd.

posted on the service forum........
We would like to apologise for the intermittent problems that Betfair customers have been experienced throughout today.

Please be aware that we have identified a potential technical issue and that we are looking at this as a matter of the most urgent priority.

Now this is worrying.? Really it only effects traders and people who do in running. For backers and layers it does not matter as there bets are matched before the off anyway.?

Cheers

Everything worked well for the remainder of the day so this was perhaps, human error?

Other than Southwell this week everything else seems to be ok now. Lets hope so.

Didn't see it myself but looks like BF made a hash of the 14.55 at Galway today:

'The off of the 14:55 Galway was missed and unintentionally offered in-play. Once this was noticed the market was closed and the BSP unreconciled. Bets placed after the official off time of 14:56:13 will be made void and the BSP will be manually reconciled.

The markets will be settled shortly.

Thanks for letting us know. Seems like this problem still exists, although it does sound like this was human error?

13.10 at Ascot - complete mess up. No set plans as to what to do when a late withdrawal happens so they just make it up as they go along.

Late withdrawal, remove the horse but not enough time to reopen before the race starts, was well into the race before it was reopened.

Where are the S.O.P.'s Betfair?

Betfair SP was 8.45 despite not trading below 10.0 pre race, industry sp was 10.0!

Edit: 30mins on and the silence is deafening BF!
