The numbers at 1.01 and 1000 are pure bsp, and the others are LoC
How much liquidity at BSP?
Never thought about this before but can other market players see unmatched pure bsps?
Yes. The numbers at 1.01 and 1000 are pure bsp
Leading on from the original question does anyone know how accurate this BSP is as a predictor of the results?
It seems to me the perceived wisdom, on horse racing at least is that the BSP is a fairly accurate guide. Now i have not tested this and it may well be out of date and thus be untrue now.
So i wonder if you were to beat the BSP on Greyhounds say by 3% would you expect to be shwoing a long term profit?

Yeah I know the stuff, I meant pre-play, before start time, before suspension.
I just did a full backtest, backing / laying at BSP for every greyhound ever. No profitable strategy:buyshirts wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 11:02 amLeading on from the original question does anyone know how accurate this BSP is as a predictor of the results?

This suggests that commission cannot be beaten if you blindly back / lay at BSP. Therefore, BSP is an accurate reflection of true odds to within 2% over a full sample. Though that doesn't mean some races the BSP is the true odds, but on average over a large sample it is. It also does not mean you can't be profitable betting at BSP, but you would need to be selective.
