I'm not too sure tbh. Its a collection of matched, unmatched, cancelled or lapsed.

So I'm going to have to find a way around this so it doesn't happen again :(

I'll look into the SV that you mentioned. TBH I imiagine I'm not the first person who has walked into this.

Do you have a similar code written up to protect you james?

I imagine there probably one on the forum mind you.
Not an issue for me because I don't do enough transactions to ever risk qualifying, and then it wouldn't matter because I create enough generated commission to cover it.

It's simple to add it as a condition to your rule line/s that triggers a trade.

Do you think I have to create a time frame for the stored value to log each hour on this?

Like strict refresh will have to be 1h back and then 1h forward

I imagine if I dont do this then it will lose the data count?

Sorry I may have asked a more complicated question than required.

I've set up the condition now. I'm just curious how the stored value knows the transactions I've done throughout the hour when I haven't set a SV to log it anything up to log it as all.

It's like it seems too simple? Unless I'm over complicating it and in the background it finds out through the API my transactions logs in betfair on my account? (Applogies for my understanding of this stuff, I'm not sure how the bigger pictures works with this really, but keen to learn)

I'm not sure of the current status, but a while back betfair changed the definition of a transaction, for the purposes of the transaction charge, and for a long while, I dont think the BF definition aligned with the BA definition. I'm not sure whether that gap has closed, so just be aware of that possibility.

Having said that, it is worth doing a basic audit of you code for things that might not be necessary. I used to do 50,000 tx/hour because I had something like 'takeSP everything, every second' but it would have been more sensible for everyone if I had 'takeSP everything, every second, if I have placed a bet but not yet converted it to takesp'

It is obvious when you think about it, but before this charge we didnt have to think about hammering the servers with meaningless/unnecessary instructions

Yeah I'm also unsure of this allignment. As a transaction is classed as matched, unmatched and removed so there's 3 to every 1 bet input is what I'm interpreting from betfair support message...

However yes, maybe one of the other members knows or it could be a question for Peter and Dallas to confirm and probably shaun and james - Chaps if you see this can you enlighten us on your knwoledge please.

I think for now I will set it to 5000/3 so 1666 that iliminates the possiblity of it happening again for now until more answers are given.

Later on it may not be an issue due to me being able to make more profit than the service charges, however at this point in time its an issue really.

A "transaction" is any instruction you send and they process, it's a bet placement, a bet cancellation or a bet ammendment.

An order acknowledgement (ie receipt of the order or cancellation request completed), a full match notification or a partial match notification is something initiated by their side, so not a transaction in this context.

Cheers Shaun,

Im going to go with the assumption that it’s safe to bump my condition to 5000 an hour then as I’d have thought that developers would have considered this etc and their alignments how they process the trades etc.

So I’ll set it to 5000 tx for now and hopefully all will be well with a few further tweeks

Wahoo, tailored the conditions a little and all look good and seem to be working fine. Hopefully no unexpected fine tomorrow  set transactions to 3600ph just incase theres some other stuff to be considered when hedging etc.

I've revised my first bot, when I came here it was 200 rules plus and took 2 hours to edit but really successful results. But now its just 20 lines lol crazy now I've got into the flow of things. Ideas a great and being able to work on things is such a gift with your guys help and the software is really good.

So 2 consistent bots now and only on 10p's atm, Will run for a few more weeks now and plenty more room to optimise once the bank has been built

Guys... The plot thickens. I've oppened up to get things moving today and I've had £30 additional in my account?

I've not had any emails regarding this. Are there weekly reports in TX betfair do? or how do I gain access to them?

Was it a error on their behalf? or an unsettled bet?

Bit confused and don't really want to ask them why they've given me money.

If you are in Australia the XSTX charges get refunded weekly. If not, it is possible that you given a refund for your first infraction.

Your Account Statement on your myaccount.betfair.com page might have some detail.
