Think about the advantage you have as a long term market participant. You can feel change and therefore know what is happening. This puts you in the prime position to be able to adapt to it or come up with new ideas off the back of that change.
Good advice, and luckily I'm in a position to.notice these changes, but its the volumes of money going through the markets that concerns me the most, no wonder I suppose when you look at some of the quality of the race cards!
Like most aspects of work/life lack if money and overall confidence with.jobs/housing etc, volumes on the racing were bound to take a hit!

Genius - just noticed that despite only 2 afternoon and 2 evening meetings they some how have scheduled a 18.00 at Ffos Las and a 18.00 at Salisbury - with a 15 minute gap before and a 15 minute gap after, all you can do is

Suspected they would do something like that as that is what has happened in the past but these errors happen time and again, any other business and heads would roll
Sums up the way racing is run imo.

Found this evening rubbish bar one race which had a big late punt, most of which I have given back to the market. Wish I had taken the evening off but that is the problem, you just never know.

I hope its going to improve a bit with the rest of the week, but this week being sandwiched in between Epsom and Ascot it was never going to be great.
To the person that said if you go by the comments on the forum then the bad weeks seem to outnumber the good ones, I'd say that generally traders like to moan when things are tough but keep quiet when they're doing well as they're too busy making money! Most weeks around this time of year are pretty good really. Wait for Jan / Feb, thats when we'll really be moaning!

It's a shame there's no Irish racing today - I know the volumes are poor, but it's something to do in between other races.
I get bored on days like this and start dabbling in the markets early which is not my thing. There's only so much tea you can drink in a day!

To cheer us all up after a poor day of trading watch Angry Boys tonight on BBC3 at 10.40pm, won't be everyone's kind of comedy but I loved Summer Heights High so really looking forward to this new series by the same person.
