Well folks after making very small profits in the first races I am now going to call it a day. The volumes are just awful and this is more like pulling teeth. At one point I had £1.27 left from a £200 order and it just sat there unmatched for at least 30 seconds!

I am placing orders and they just sit there for an eternity totally unmatched! I cannot remember a day where it was so bad!

Probably a wise decision, but I'm going to tough it out all the same. Slow going so far, though.

It is pretty shocking. Maybe everyone has done their banks at Epsom

I just spent £60 trying to get out of a position that was only a couple of hundred in size. Nobody took a penny, not a penny.

The two card days in the summer can be shocking, historically they have been pretty poor.

What's going on this week? why so poor? this week last year I made a small fortune and June was one of my best months of the year. I suppose it's early days.

I hate loading up my last years figures, simply because they dwarf this years :(

I expected yesterday to be much better than it was, but don't have high expectations of today. If it carries on like this we can gather some data and try and get an definitive answer. Very poor so far for sure!

Well I am not bothering with the rest of the afternoon cards. I just had £19 left of a £200 order and so I actually timed it. Finally somebody matched £10 then the rest followed but it took 1m 24s :o

On another market I was the whole £225 and as Peter said not a single penny traded. I ended up having to close out for a scratch and even that was painful.

The problem with holding in the market so long is the exposure to a numpty hitting the market with a lumpy sum. The market is unlikely to recover with such low volumes so the risk v reward ratio is not good!

Oh well, the sun is shining here :D

I have lost £470 on 1st race...Roger Sez was an early upset for me but, I have managed to cover my loss just now...Im off for the day as well...it`s scary..
Perhaps the hoover traders (betfair?) have sucked all the money available but, be faithfull the next 2 generations of gamblers will bring more money
good day all...

A big gamble in the "Cheats Charter" otherwise known as a Claimer. A real gambling stable with the trainer's son on board!

I done the first 3 races and it was completely uninspiring, made a very small profit, got fed up and chucked it to watch a documentary my new tivo box recorded for me, I've only just started to make small consistent amounts, and looking at this forum over the last few months, it seems the bad days are outweighing the good, and every week seems to get slightly worse, makes you wonder what the future holds!
