BetDaq Wish List...
Dear BetAngel Users,
Once again thank you for the continued feedback please note that all the points have been raised to our development team. We have noted the re occurance through mails especially for the request for last traded price and will look to see if we can add this feature in the near furture.
In regards call limits we would like to notify users whilst BetAngel is set to limit users to below the blacklisting threshold. We obviously do not advise opening more than one window/version at any point and also monitoring your bet placement levels.
We can also confirm that we will be able to review customers on an on going basis for increased Call limits. This will be based on previous buisness with BETDAQ, and trading behaviour. You may contact [email protected] to apply for these increases.

Hi
Thats handy to know that we can apply for higher call limits..
I recently ran a program almost identical to one that I run each day on betfair and had my account blocked after the first race as i recall.
When I applied to have it unblocked I subsequently found that it was due to having a "combined payload" >the 1500 limit. It took six emails to/from betdaq to understand why I had been blocked and to have it unblocked. In the end I just decided that it wasn't worth the extra time overhead and returned to Betfair.
I'm probably an average user when compared with others on the BA forum and put millions through betfair each year, it would be great to move some of that to betdaq..
regards
Peter
PS is there anywhere that explains the various calls in layman's terms; the expression "Combined Payload" didn't mean much to me at the time. Thanks
Edit: 18:38 The API documentation is listed here: http://betdaqapi.com/

I would like to ask for:
# LTP
# Hedging Column
# Last Traded Amount on each selection so on the charts you can see how much is flowing through on each selection rather than a market as a whole. This allows you to adjust your stake appropriately
# Switch from showing the amount matched on a market (selection if the above point was introduced) from Liability to Stake as I find it near impossible to know how much is matched on the market as I along with most others I would assume work on a stake basis as per Betfair
That will do for now I think but there is a lot more I would like to see in the long run.

And I think the way Betdaq 'turn off the tap' when the limit is breached, meaning you could be mid-trade and unable to green up, needs to be looked at. Why not simply throttle the account, or at least bring up warning messages saying 'You account will be suspended in 5 minutes'?

Has anyone got anything back from betdaq re this??
I had an initial email saying someone would be in touch but have heard nothing back.

But if they start to provide support on a Sunday then this will have to be paid for somehow.
I guess one way to pay for it would be the introduction of some kind of charge for people who benefit most from the exchange.

I think it went in the special "Jeff" filing cabinetFerru123 wrote:This morning, I emailed Betdaq a straightforward enquiry, but haven't yet received a reply.
Does Betdaq deal with email enquiries on Sundays? If not, it would be good if they did.
Jeff

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Nah, they know better than to mess with a serial whinger - it's much easier to give him what he wants than to mess him about!
This morning, I tried logging into an application that uses the API, and had to email Betdaq to have my account API enabled. Are Betdaq accounts not API enabled as standard when they're set up? If not, I think they should be.
And why oh why does my login work for .com but not .co.uk?!? Why make things more complicated for users than they need to be??? Why not allow logins to work for both domains? In 2011, I'm sure the technology must exist to allow that to happen! Anyway, rant over!

What I want, really really want (is that a song?) is the AMOUNT traded column on the right side of the ladder as the Betfair version. This is a key indicator, I am having to use Betfair as a guide and I'd rather not.
Jeff, I have to log in with .co.uk not com as com doesn't work. Could it depend where you registered your account?

Mugsgame, that is what I want, really really want
Traded amount per runner is crucial for my trading strategies and unfortunately that information can not be obtained through BD Api. So I am afraid BA can't present it to users.
I have emailed BD with question on that issue but haven't got any response yet. So, if anyone from BetDaq is reading this forum (I have seen that someone from BD is sometimes replying here) I appeal to them to concern implementing this important call (I am really surprised it doesn't exist currently. Many technical indicators are based on price, traded volume and time, and if you don't supply traded volume...?).

Betdaq's current charting is, frankly, a bit primative.
It would be good if they provided charts that:
A. Allowed you to either zoom into what's been happening in the last (say) 3 minutes, or have a panoramic view of trading since the market opened.
B. Gave you the opinion of having the price expressed either as a line graph or as candlesticks, with an option of time increments from 1 tick to 5 minutes
C. Allowed you to add moving averages, and ideally other indicators used in the financial markets, like the VWAP, the MACD and Bollinger Bands.
And once you've set up a chart, it would be good if you could save the settings, and have Betdaq default to a particular chart setup every time you log in.
On another matter, it would also be good if you could reset the volumes matched per price info, so that you can see where the money is building up.
And a final suggestion. It would be useful to offer the default option of having volumes expressed in Betfair terms, rather than in the terms currently used by Betdaq.

PS For ideas of the sorts of things they could put into new charting, Betdaq might want to download Metatrader, which is free software for viewing the financial markets:
