Markettrader suggested this thread and as I also had it in mind for a few weeks, I think its a good idea.

To save cluttering up the thread please list ONLY the items that BetDaq NEED to have fixed before you would move there to trade/bet etc.

To start the ball rolling...

1. Last Traded Price available
2. Greening (below current minimum stake of 50p)

Both are MUST HAVES.

200 calls/min for bet retrieval limit removed.

Last traded would be good but i could live with just the fast connection quite happily for starters.

200 calls per min is fine for me. The problem with Betfair half the time is people are trying to squeeze as many calls per second out of it when they would be fine with half that many. Bandwidth issues follow and everyone is affected. Don't want to see the alternative provider have the same 'sticky' issues that Betfair was plagued with.

More important to have the following IMHO. And these are FTAO Betdaq - not the Bet Angel team:

- Last traded price

- Bet queue organised to allow stake splitting and thus less than 50p bet (as BF do it - this still allows minimum bet to be stated at the current level), market depth

- arrange the sports in alphabetical order in the market selection area.

- Some kind of bet persistence and SP betting

I've got another call with Betdaq tomorrow so any suggestions will be discussed with them.

200 calls is majorly limiting. On days like today it doesn;t make that much difference but on standard midweek tuesdays/wednesdays if you don;t know if your order has been filled for half a second thats a major setback on thin markets

Would love Betdaq to come out with a statement that they will never tax or discourage winners, no matter how successful they are.

I have heard that Gerald Ratner is advising Betfair these days

Another one from me.

I see that 'keep in-running' is available via the web site but the choice needs to be taken at the time the bet is placed.

There is no way to change the status from 'cancel' when the market is turned in play to 'keep in-running' for bets submitted by Bet Angel for Betdaq.

So this needs to change to enable someone to change the persistence option after the bet is placed.

OK one thing I do miss on the BD app is a hedging column on the ladder.

One other thing.......Something funny happened in the last market, I clicked on a price and it didn;t put my order in. I just sort of ignored it but I just realised it says on the bottom of the screen
cannot process your request as you are currently calling their servers too frequently and have been temporarily black-listed
When I looked at the log there appears to be several pages of this error?? Is this a standard error? This could cause major problems if you can't close a position.

Blacklisting is the BD equiv of the data usage charge. Unlike Betfair who just charge you an arm and a leg without telling you, Betdaq just stop you at their limit. It is a pain but better than racking up an enourmous bill with no way of telling you are doing it.

I can't remember immediately what the limit is?

I discovered that the hard way three years ago!

Found this from three years ago, but I think they have been reduced since.
The thresholds are applied in a historic 60 second sliding window and the blacklisted in period is also 60 seconds - during this window no API calls will be processed [with exception of Cancel] and an blacklisting return code is sent back to the calling application. You can cancel during a blacklisting window, but this does contribute further to the length of the blacklisting window. You can call the ListBlacklistInformation call to get details of blacklisted API call and how long more the user is blacklisted for.

The below values are default values and we do have the ability to change these on a per user basis, but in reality.

The threshold [per minute are] are

PlaceOrdersNoReceipt = 1000 [count of all calls made to the PlaceOrdersNoReceipt ]
PlaceOrdersWithReceipt = 1000 [count of all calls made to the PlaceOrdersWithReceipt ]
Combined = 1500 [count of all calls made to the api]
Any=1000 [count of calls to any api call other than PlaceOrdersNoReceipt & PlaceOrdersWithReceipt]
ListBootstrapOrders=50
GetEventSubTreeNoSelections=50

I get the message often when simply loading markets with lots of runners.

If you go view / refresh it normally sorts itself in a few seconds.

It was much worse a rew months ago.

Combined = 600
Any= 300
ListBootstrapOrders=50
GetEventSubTreeNoSelections=50

As it is a wish list, I will add mine too:

Last traded price
Greening up with a stake lower than 0.5. If it has to be a limit, let it be 0.2.
