Sadly yes! He is as obnoxious in real life as he is on the TV!
Got to stick up for big mac - when I met him as a kid was very friendly and gave me his autograph unlike Derek Thompson who refused and told me he would be right back- needless to say he didn't - not that I've held a grudge against him for 20 odd years!
Right about that emily's voice - very sexy - up there with Mariella fostrup and Sarah beeny!
Not sure about her commentating - anywhere hear all those contenders for female commentator comp - all absolute joke!

What I like about Big Mac is that 'what you see is what you get'.
The guy wears his heart on his sleeve, and isn't afraid of expressing politically incorrect opinions.
How he manages to get away with addressing his co-presenter as 'Female', I'll never know!

Big Mac isn't obnoxious all the time, when I first met him at the course many years ago he was fine. Sadly when he became more prominent on C4 he became more and more embroiled in general arguments. He cares passionately about racing but sometimes he doesn't know where to draw the line. There was a race at Folkestone last year where a horse was trapped in the stalls. Someone emailed ATR and said they were upset by the lack of information from the course. Big Mac went off on a rant calling the person an idiot who shouldn't be allowed to say what he did and generally slagged them off. It was totally unnecessary and made to look even more stupid later when he interviewed Barry Dennis who also said the lack of info from the course was ridiculous as no bookies had a clue about what was happening. This time Big Mac agreed and totally contradicted his previous rant!
He also looked a complete idiot when he accused Chris Tarrant's wife of being responsible for Chris Tarrant being unfaithful. He was asked to leave the show by Alan Titchmarsh and to this day I cannot understand why he did it.
Jeff - He calls Tanya Femail as opposed to Female with the reference to e-mail on the C4 Morning Line show.
Having said all that I would rather meet Big Mac than Derek Thomson who has to be the lowest of the low. I know people who have been in racing for 40+ years and I don't know anyone who has ever had a good word for Tommo. He is apparently so tight he squeaks when he walks!
