+1. I think the police are so determined to appease the media that they will happily adopt a softly softly approach to the lefties but seem happy to ignore basic freedoms when it comes to the right.Ferru123 wrote:Yep - Liberalism is very tolerant, except when it comes to illiberal views...![]()

The woman in this video is currently being remanded in custody: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pONVYjAd1wc
NB CONTAINS LANGUAGE & VIEWS YOU MAY FIND OFFENSIVE!
I don't see why this should be a matter for the police. What's the woman guilty of exactly? She expressed some controversial views and got into a heated argument. Why should that be a matter for the criminal justice system?!?

i can't stand the man, but it's good for democracy.
it would be much healthier if we had more independents and a few national socialists in parliament too.

It would be interesting to know if they can use the word 'whitewash'...
George Orwell was spot on about the future - his 1984 predictions were just a few years out.
BTW, on the topic of PC policing, I've never understood the irritating phrase 'policing by consent', which sort of implies that you don't need force to, erm, enforce the law...

i think the world is run by mad men. stupid, stupid, stupid.
i think policing by consent means, they have the right to hassel the feck out of you if they wish too as long as you are a law abiding type and they have nothing better to do. but if you are a criminal, lout, thug, scumbag etc, then they are allowed to walk the other way and turn a blind eye (or i suppose turn a visually challenged eye), as they would be infringing your ooman rights.
thats my understanding.
