So just been reading the DM comments, penny looked out of her depth. Truss looked I’ll. Sunak looked fishy and Tom talked sense.

I’m going to say this will go down to Sunak and Truss
I must admit Tom did come across the best through most of the debate, Truss kept banging on about Ukraine a bit to much

I think the risk of escalation at some point drastically increases if she became PM, she does seem a bit 'Gung-Ho'

Every time Sunak says "we have to be honest" I feel like giving him a smack!

Tom was the winner of the debate according to a poll immediately after the event.

I thought Sunak came through the best. Truss was useless. Mordaunt drivelly Tugendhat worthy but wouldn't like him representing me on the international stage.
But then that probably applies to not only to all of this lot but BJ also.
Hope I wake up after the heatwave with some semblance of political direction other than MP's filling their boots before they are ejected at the next election.
It's still all to play for. But I predict a Tory wipeout at the next GE unless the govt gets their act together.

Johnson says whoever becomes PM must finish the job on Brexit. In other words, he's admitted he never got the job he was elected to do done. :)

I’ve seen some women obsessed with males, but your obsession for Boris is next level. Just get over him already. You’re one step away from claiming csa for the upkeep of the thoughts of him in your head.

If you're quick, you can still get 1000.00 Nigel Farage or Jeremy Corbyn....

What has happened in the past hour? Sunak and Penny nearly level in the markets

I'm just guessing more dirt has been dug up about her than Sunak, as it's the pick of a bad bunch, you're looking for the least filthiest. I thought navy experience was a plus point for Penny, but now I hear being a reservist doesn't have much more esteem than a 14-year-old joining after school cadets trading.

That said, I've yet to make a penny from political trading. :)

Henry Hill says he bows to nobody in his distaste for Boris Johnson. He should read this forum and think again. :D

Penny was nearly chucked out of the Navy. There was an article about her in the Daily Mail today and if true is on par with BJ. She has no experience in politics whatsoever and a multi millionaire is pushing her case and seems to be the next Dominic Cummings.

When I first saw her I thought we could do with a nice-looking PM, but after hearing her speak, I think we could do without her. :)

I hate to say it but I think Rishi is the only option. As a life long Tory supporter the only other person I would have voted for was David Miliband. Labour, yes but straight down the middle and clever. But the trade unions chose his pathetic brother Ed and we all know how that turned out.

Give me an option, David Miliband or Kier Starmer. Easy choice.

No way on earth I vote for Starmer and Raynar. Would rather vote for Putin.

I agree that anyone who can't manage a bacon sandwich without making a mess of it, isn't fit to be PM. Just imagine if there was an egg in it, with a slightly runny yoke. :D
